This would be quite a trek so we had to sleep the night before at the base of the mountain. Although, I didn't have any camping gear (that night Luiz and I shared a blanket) we managed to find a spare tent and made it work. Also, for water there is nothing more pure then mountain water so we stuck our bottles in the river and drank away.

Our first site attempt.
Our second attempt after the ants attacked.
And no camping trip is complete without a campfire.
So we didn't have time for much of an adventure the first day, but we did go for a quick excursion to the water fall up stream. The water was soooo cold, but of course I got in. (Yes, this would be the same water I would drink out of later.)
The next morning we got an early start and began the trip up to the top! Here are the views after we got on top of the first of 3 plateaus. Notice the clouds below us!
At this point we were already tired, but kept on pushing. The path became increasingly difficult, but we reached the second plateau. At this point we got a view of the peak would go on to climb.
Now it was time for the summit attempt. It took us about 2 hours (we had already been hiking for 4 hours) to go from the point where the last picture was taken to the top and I wasn't sure if we were going to make it!
But we finally made it! And it was worth all the effort!
Going back was rough, but we made it just before dark! A total of 10 hours of hiking!
